Uncommon Side Effects
There are additional side effects that are not as common and may indicate an error in the administration of the anesthesia. These side effects may include:
- Severe damage to the eyes
- Severe allergic reaction to drugs
- Nerve Damage that does not heal
- Death - death is rare and often is a result of multiple complications occurring together
- Equipment failure
- Severe chest infection
- Bladder irregularities which do not heal
- Permanent paralysis
- Permanent damage to lips, tongue or teeth
Anesthesia is necessary in many cases to minimize pain.
